Cat Lady Box

Hello!

Whoo Hoo!!!

Some of you may know that in October, I took part in the Cat Lovers Blog Hop which is hosted by the lovely Janice over at Her Peaceful Garden.

Well, I was the lucky winner of a Cat Lady Box and it arrived yesterday afternoon! It felt like Christmas had come early!

Here's the box. :

It is the November box (you can subscribe to get one each month, or just purchase them individually). They have a festive box which would make a great Christmas gift for a cat lover!

And here is what was inside:

Here is everything:

Kitty toys - pumpkin pie and a crinkle turkey which is filled with cat nip, so Casey has been going wild for it!

Cat's head cookie cutter and a recipe card for pumpkin pie and sugar cookies:

A postcard print of "Hungry Cats' by artist Venus Sapiens:

A gorgeous V-neck T-shirt in a lovely deep wine colour:

And, my favourite of all, some beautiful drinking glasses. The black and gold cats really sparkle!

What a fantastic prize!
Thanks to the Cat Lady for sponsoring the event and sending my prize to the UK. And many thanks again to Janice for organising the Blog Hop and arranging a multitude of sponsors, all offering fabulous, generous prizes.
I can't wait for the next hop!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Christmas Scene using free Gecko Galz stamp

Hello!

Hope you're all having a good weekend.
I'd like to welcome Judy and thank her for becoming my latest follower!

Today's card is a Christmas card using a digital stamp from Gecko Galz. This was a free stamp on the blog and you can find it here and here.

I coloured the stamp with Spectrum Noir pens and added iridescent glitter (with a Quickie glue pen) to the snow and the image frame. I cut around the image and popped it on foam pads on to die-cut background paper, also available free from from Yanie. I added some die cut glitter stars and a sticker sentiment and adhered everything onto a die cut kraft card.
This was a quick and easy card!
It has lots of sparkle, but, as always, that is difficult to capture.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Micemas Post

Hello crafty friends!

Another Christmas card today.  Let's hope I'm on a roll now!

I was a winner at The Outlawz!

I made it using a stamp from Di's Digis. The stamp is Let's hope I'm on a roll called Micemas Post!

Before I show my card, let me tell you .... I joined The Outlawz, which is a ning site for paper crafters. (Thanks to the gals on the Cat Lover's Blog Hop for introducing me to this!) For those, like me, who haven't heard of it, they have daily challenges and one is called the Progressive Freebie Challenge whereby if you sign up you get a free stamp (this month's is the gorgeous Micemas Post). Once you've made your project you link it on their challenge page and that automatically qualifies you to get the next month's stamp. There's loads of inspiration to be found on the site too, so why not join?

So, here is my card:

It's a pretty simple design, but I like it!
I coloured the image with Spectrum Noir markers and added iridescent glitter to the snowy parts. I used a shaped die to cut the image, the mat and the card itself. The background paper is actually glitter card from Trim Craft and this red dotty one is definitely my favourite! The image is raised on foam pads. The poinsettia is die cut from white card and inked to make the leaves and petals. Crystal gems were added to the centre of the flower. The sentiment was computer generated, die cut and popped on foam pads.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a lovely weekend.
xoxo

Christmas Bird Trio

Hello!

Today I'm showing a Christmas card using a digital stamp called Christmas Bird Trio from Imagine That.

My card has a very simple design. I coloured the image with Spectrum Noir markers and added glitter to the birds' hat trim. I added dots of glitter to the image background to represent falling snow. The image was die cut using a stitched rectangle die and matted onto green, then red card. The background papers are Graphic 45, Twelve Days of Christmas. These were leftover pieces from a previous project, so I'm calling them 'snippets', so I can enter Di's Snippets Playground challenge this week! These papers were  matted onto dark red card and a ribbon secured along the bottom edge to which I attached a bow. The image was adhered on foam pads for some dimension and 3 ivory peals completed the card.

My card was WINNER at Sparkles Challenge and featured on TTCRD

Thanks for stopping by today.

{Pin}spirational Challenge #179

Hello crafty friends!

Hope everyone is keeping well and looking forward to the festive season!
The weather here has turned cold and stormy and I've gone into semi-hibernation.
I can't wait for spring!!
On the plus side, mince pies are in abundance :-)

Today is the start of a new challenge at
{PIN}spirational Challenges.
Challenge #179 runs until 5th December.

We have 2 generous sponsors:

This is the inspiration photo:

Mmmm!! A festive drink ... just what I need!

The sponsors kindly gave the DT images to work with and I chose a Sherri Baldi image. The gorgeous teal mugs inspired my colour scheme and my girl is holding a mug of chocolate!

Here is my card:

I coloured the image with Spectrum Noir pens and added iridescent glitter to her fur trim. The glittered background papers are from Trim Craft and both of these were matted onto black card before being attached to the card base as an 'over the edge' card.
The flowers are made from an Yvonne Creations Poinsettia die. The white flower is made from white glitter card and has its edges inked in red. The teal flowers have white ink edges, but it doesn't show up very well. The centre of the poinsettias are made from mini prills. The sentiment is die cut (X-Cut) from white card with a black shadow to make it stand out more.

That's all from me today.  I hope you'll pop over to
to check out the gorgeous designs by the rest of the DT.

We would love for you to take part in the challenge!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Vintage Christmas Robin

Hello!

Today I'm sharing a vintage style card I made using digital papers and a collage sheet from Gecko Galz and fibres and flowers from Anna Marie Designs and The Ribbon Girl.

Whoo hoo! - I got an Honourable Mention at

The papers are from the Winter Wonderland pack and the image is from the Winters Garden set. The inside has an image from the Christmas Sayings Digital Stamp set.

The card base is 13.5 square cm. The paper was cut and distressed along the edges, then inked with TH Vintage Photo. The paper doily was spritzed with Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist. The image was also distressed, inked and had its corners curled. All were attached to the card base along with some lace and flowers (natural fibres, paper roses, mulberry leaves, berries, pearl stamen and tiny pine cones sprinkled with Crystal Snow from Inkilicious). An ivory organza bow was added, three ivory pearls and a sentiment popped on foam pads.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Heart of Roses: If You Give A Crafter A Cookie

Hello!

A big welcome to Wynn Walton, my latest follower. I'm thrilled that you could join me!

Today is the start of a brand new challenge at
If You Give A Crafter A Cookie.
This challenge is open until 30th November.

Our sponsor is the beautiful Lemon Shortbread.

And here is the yummy cookie photo to spark our imagination for this challenge:

My first thought was along the lines of Lisa Frank, but in the end I went with one of the cookie shapes and one of the colours as my inspiration for this challenge.
Here is my project:

I used Lemon Shortbread's Heart of Roses digital stamp. I coloured it with Spectrum Noir markers, went around the outlines of the image in pale grey and added some dots of iridescent glitter to the heart background. I then fussy cut the image, leaving a thin white border. The white scalloped card is from the 'dinkies' range at Little Claire Designs. I used a Trim Craft pink glitter card as my background and matted it on to kraft card. The image was adhered on foam pads. A thin raspberry coloured ribbon and bow was attached before sticking the layers on to the card base. Tiny ivory pearls were added to finish it off.

That's all from me for today. Now it's over to you...

Please pop over to the
If You Give A Crafter A Cookie
challenge blog to check out the lovely designs by the rest of the DT.

We would love for you to share your projects in the challenge!

ATC: Vera Lane Princess

Hello!

Oh my! I've been so busy these last two weeks that I've hardly had any time for crafting.

I just about managed to make an ATC for the Vera Lane Studio Facebook swap and submitted it just a few hours before the deadline.

The theme this time is to make a collage background.
Here is my make:

I made a shaving cream print for the basic background, then added washi tape to which I added some doodles in white pen. Silver glitter die cut scraps were used for the top border and along the bottom. A die cut flower centre was glittered and a pearl centre added. A Tim Holtz Ideology rub-on was layered on top of the washi and TH Chit Chat words added. The image is from the Whimsical Princess and Frog set.

The princess is coloured with Spectrum Noir and her crown and wand glittered. She's raised on foam pads to add some dimension. I added a hand drawn border to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Christmas Easel Box for Unstampabelles

Hello friends and followers!

A warm welcome to Georgiania Carson, my newest follower!

I'm honoured to be Guest Designer at Unstampabelles Challenges this month.

As the name suggests all projects must be created without any stamps or digis

The theme for the November challenge is ... Resistance.

You can interpret the theme any way you like.

Normally for this theme, I would stamp an image and use embossing powder as a resistance and ink over it, but as I couldn't use stamps, today I decided to be different, think 'outside the box' and make an Easel Box. The resistance element for this is the stopper sentiment on top of the box - it keeps the easel open by resisting the effect of gravity!

The box was relatively easy to create following the step-by-step photographic instructions from the lovely Beccy, over at Beccy's Place which you can find here

Here is what I made:

I went with a Christmas theme, as we are getting close to December.
My easel box was made using just one 12 x12 inch piece of white card, one piece of A4 holly card and one piece of A4 green shimmer paper.
Beccy has done all the hard work, so I followed her instructions in order to construct the box and easel.

For the topper, I die cut a doily out of a piece of cream shimmer card. The flowers are made from white card, die cut with a Heartfelt Creations Majestic Blooms die. The die cuts were inked in a coral red and shaped using a stylus and foam pad. They were assembled and a yellow gem was placed in the centre of each flower. The leaves, die cut from green shimmer card with a Spellbinders set, were arranged around the flowers along with natural dried flowers from Anna Marie Designs.  Glue was applied with a Quikie glue pen and Crystal Snow from Inkilicious was added as a finishing touch.
The topper was adhered to the easel front on foam pads.

The sentiment is from a Papermania pack.

The inside of the easel has a holly banner and a Spellbinders Label Twenty die attached on foam pads to raise it up, so that it will act as a stopper (or resistance!!) for the Easel.

Thanks for stopping by today!
xoxo
