If You Give A Crafter A Cookie: Coffee Love

Hello friends!

Today is the start of a brand new challenge at
If You Give A Crafter A Cookie.

I do hope you'll join us.
You can enter your projects until the 29th November.

Here is the yummy cookie inspiration:

Our generous sponsor this time is Sasayaki Glitter.

I used a digital stamp called Lady Bell Loves Coffee by Sasayaki Glitter.

Here is the card I made:

I coloured the image with Copics and fussy cut her. I added some glitter to her gown's fur trim, flower headband and ring. She is attached on foam pads onto a die cut background of white, pink and kraft card. The layered die cut sentiment was attached to a layered die cut disc along with some tiny hearts.

That's all from me for today.
Now it's over to you...

Please pop over to the
If You Give A Crafter A Cookie
challenge blog to check out the lovely designs by the rest of the DT.

We would love for you to share your projects in the challenge!

You could win digi stamps or become one of our 'Top Cookies'!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Vera Lane Studio: We're All Mad Here

Hello everyone!

Today is my DT day at Vera Lane Studio.  I'm sharing a quirky card I made as part of the Vera Lane Facebook group's Wonderland theme for November.

I used The Mad Hatter and The Quirky Queen of Hearts. I coloured them with markers, fussy cut them and popped them on foam pads onto a gelli printed background. Some black and white washi tape was used to ground my characters and, to finish, I hand drew a border and cut the sentiment into strips, inked the edges and adhered to the background.

Vera Lane Studio: Wonderland

Hello everyone!

Today I'm sharing a card and an ATC using the new digi set from Vera Lane Studio.  The set is Wonderland Set 1 and is part of the Planner Props series of digis. Since this is Set 1, I'm guessing there will be another set to follow :)

This month in our Vera Lane Facebook group the theme is Wonderland.

Here is my card:

I resized and arranged three of the characters (poor caterpillar was left out!), then printed them out. I coloured them with markers and added Glossy Accents to eyes, spectacles, hearts and hat band. I fussy cut them and popped them on foam pads onto a background made by sponging acrylic paints. There was not enough room for the sentiment on the outside of the card, so I cut it into strips, inked the edges and placed it wonkily in the inside.

Next is my first ATC for the Wonderland swap:

The same characters appear on this, but much smaller this time. They were printed individually, coloured, Glossy Accents added and fussy cut. Again they are popped on foam pads. The background is a gelli print that was spritzed with Glimmer Mist. The edges were inked in black and a hand drawn border was added. The sentiment was chopped into individual words, inked and adhered. Some tiny gems were added to finish it off.

This is a super fun set. Two sentiments and four characters, ten digis in total as each character is flipped, so that planner clips and bookmarks can be made.

I hope you'll come along and play on Vera Lane. It's such a friendly, fun place to be!

Scrapbook Stamp Society: Glamour Girl

Hello everyone!

Today I'm sharing my DT project for
Scrapbook Stamp Society

The challenge is always Anything Goes. This month we have no optional theme, so you can create whatever you like!

The Winners and Runner-Ups will receive My Bestie digital stamps from a selection on offer.  For more details, please pop over to the challenge blog.

Here is my card:

I used an image called Glam Girl - I think she looks fabulous! She is coloured with Copics and cut out with a die. The background was lightly inked with Memento Sand. I matted the image and the design paper onto Kraft card, both of which were inked along the edges in red. The image mat is raised on foam pads. I made a banner ribbon for the left hand side and added some homemade, die cut flowers and leaves. Lovely pearl centres were added to the flowers.

I hope you'll pop over to the Challenge Blog and see the DT's fabulous projects.
We would love it if you'd share your work with us!

The winners of my little give-away are listed at the bottom of this post.

Hands up ... who can believe it's November?
Now that the clocks have gone back one hour, it doesn't come light here until 7am and it is dark again by 4.30pm. Trying to be positive, though, aren't dark, chilly nights just perfect for getting busy being creative and crafty?

Now on to business ... it's time for a new challenge at Gecko Galz
This month our customer challenge theme is Santa Clause Lane - a great excuse to make a few greetings cards for friends and family! Christmas is just around the corner now!

I made a couple of nostalgic cards. All of the paper products, except for some coloured card, are from Gecko Galz.

Card #1 Santa's Car

The image is from St Nicholas digital collage sheet - I simply printed it, cut it out and used it as a card topper. I distressed the edges with scissors, then inked them with my favourite Vintage Photo ink. I matted the image onto gold card and distressed the edges, as before.  The music sheet is from Christmas Carols collage sheet. Again this was inked and matted onto gold card. Both of these mats were popped on foam pads onto of the background made from the Merry and Bright paper pack. I added two thin strips of gold trim along the left edge and made a poinsettia (from the music sheet) which I edged with red pigment ink and added Prills to the centre. I die cut a sentiment in red and gold card to finish off the card.

Card #2 Santa's Tree

The image for this card is from Christmas Dreams Digi Kit. I added some crystal Stickles to the snow on the tree. The edges of the image were distressed and it was matted onto green card. The background paper is from the Merry and Bright paper pack - again this was distressed and inked. Green satin ribbon and ivory lace was attached along the bottom section of the paper and then it was matted onto distressed green card. Some pearl trim was added, along with some vintage style Alpha stickers to spell the word 'Joy'. The image was popped on foam pads. A cream poinsettia was made - it's edges were inked with red and Prills were added for the centre. Some die cut pine leaves were arranged along with the poinsettia.

That's all from me for now!

I hope you'll join our 'Santa Clause Lane' challenge.
