* If You Give A Crafter A Cookie: Little Santa

Hello friends!

Today is the start of a brand new challenge at
If You Give A Crafter A Cookie.

I do hope you'll join us.

You can enter your projects until the 13th December.

As always, there is a photo inspiration, and here it is:

Our generous sponsors this time are Scribbles and Fred She Said.

Here is the quick and simple card I made:

I used a Fred She Said stamp called Fat Little Santa. I coloured him with Copics and added some glitter to his fur trim then I fussy cut him. He's popped on foam pads onto an embossed white background which is matted onto red card. A red satin ribbon and some tiny pom-pom trim were added to the left side of the card and a few red sequins were attached along with a stamped sentiment.

That's all from me for today.
Now it's over to you...

Please pop over to the
If You Give A Crafter A Cookie
challenge blog to check out the lovely designs by the rest of the DT.

We would love for you to share your projects in the challenge!

You could win digi stamps or become one of our 'Top Cookies'!

Thanks for stopping by today!
xoxo

Vera Lane Studio: Snowman Shaker

Hello friends!

I have a second project for Vera Lane Studio today.  This time it's a holiday card.

I decided to make a shaker card and to keep it fairly simple.
I started by colouring the images with marker pens. I added Glossy Accents to the snowman's eyes. I've had these embossed frames lying around for quite a time and thought they'd be good for making a shaker card top. I simply attached some acetate to the back of the frame with double sided tape.
I made the shaker box using glitter card for the back and die cut foam frames for the sides - two foam frames glued on top of each other were enough to give the depth needed for the sequins to move. Once the glue was dry, the sequins were placed inside and the foam frame attached to the top frame. The shaker box was then added to a red blank card.
The snowman and trees were glued in to place overlapping the window.

* Vera Lane Studio: Tweedles

Hello everyone!

Here is my last Vera Lane Studio  Wonderland card as the month is coming to an end. I've loved remembering the characters and storylines, but most of all I've loved the new quirky digi sets that Janet created for Vera Lane Studio.

For my card today I used Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. I love these characters so much!

They are coloured with Copics, fussy cut and mounted on foam pads onto a background made from co-ordinating patterned papers. Here is a close up:

Gecko Galz: Holly, Jolly Christmas Cards

Hello everyone!

Today is my turn to share a couple of projects that I've made using amazing Gecko Galz papercraft products.

This month our customer challenge theme is
''Santa Claus Lane". There are still a few days left if you would like to enter the challenge and have the chance to win a $25 shop coupon!

We would really love to see your projects!

Here is my first card:

A simple layered card using papers 8 and 11 from Dashing Through the Snow and the stripe paper is from Here Comes Santa Claus. It doesn't show up very well, but I added glitter to each of the papers for extra sparkle and Glossy Accents to snowflake centres!  The image is one of my favourites from the Santa Claus Lane collage sheet - of course, I added extra sparkly clear glitter to Santa's frosty breath!  I added two fussy cut holly boughs, from the Christmas Dreams Kit, which I heat embossed with clear powder to make them shine, and made two poinsettias flowers to finish it off.

These two lovely ladies are from the Christmas Chic collage sheet. I added some glitter to the images and inked the edges in red. They are placed on  striped paper from the Here Comes Santa Clause paper pack and foliage paper from Botanical Christmas. The green paper was very dark, so I added some white marks using a Posca Pen, then glittered the berries. I matted the layers onto red embossed card. A red ribbon was added to the striped layer alongside the image. The sentiments were stamped.

I love the rich colours in these two cards. The paper is Red Berries from the Botanical Christmas paper pack. I added glitter to the berries and the stems. The boy image is from Merry Little Christmas and Santa is from the Christmas Dreams Kit.  I added Glossy Accents to the snow in card 1 and the berries in card 2.  I used dark green card from my stash for mats and added a satin ribbon with lace overlay for decoration.

Botanical Christmas                    Dashing Through The Snow

That's all from me for now!

I hope you'll join our 'Santa Claus Lane' challenge.
The winner and DT Favourite get a whopping $25 shopping spree at the Gecko Galz shop.

The only rule is that you must use at least one Gecko Galz product (this can be one of the freebies, so check back through the blog and also look at the freebies on the Pinterest page, or of course you can buy at the Etsy store!)
Also if you sign up for the Gecko Galz newsletter, you'll be able to claim a free collage sheet each month and will get first call on the Wednesday $1 deals.

Please pop over to the Gecko Galz blog to see the fabulous designs by the very talented DT.

We also have a Private Facebook Group where there are 4 monthly challenges, each with a collage sheet prize. Come and join us!

* Vera Lane Studio: Wonderland ATC

Hello everyone!

Here at Vera Lane Studio we are celebrating all things Alice!

Here is a second ATC I made for the Facebook group swap. I used two sets, Wonderland 1 and Wonderland Accessories:

I used a snippet of card that been coloured with Dylusion sprays and Glimmer mist. It has some some silver stamping as well. The edges were inked with Ranger black ink and a hand drawn border was added. The images were resized, arranged and printed, then coloured with Copics. Glossy Accents was applied to the bottle, the frosting, the spots on the mushroom and the caterpillars eyes, nose and spots. They were fussy cut and popped on foam pads for dimension.
