Vera Lane Studio - Pearl and Vidalia

Hello!

Today I'm sharing the beautiful new release from Vera Lane Studio - it's called Pearl and Vidalia and features two new, adorable, quirky characters!

I chose to use Pearl as my image and decided to create a second Pearl in mirror image so that they could face each other. As usual, I coloured the images with Copic markers and fussy cut them. I made the background with an embossing folder. Firstly, I stamped with clear embossing powder, then heat set it and then I added some distress oxides to the inside of the embossing folder and stamped with it. I love the effect! I inked the background in black ink and matted it onto some green card, also edged in black ink. The two Pearls are popped on foam pads and grounded with some washi tape.

I hope you'll come along and play on Vera Lane. It's such a friendly, fun place to be!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Vera Lane Studio: Mensware

Hello!

Have you seen the latest release from Vera Lane Studio? It's called Mensware and is part of the Arthur Avenue collection.

For this card, I used the pre-coloured image and simply resized, printed, then fussy cut it. I attached it, on foam pads, to a die cut tag made from embossed card and added three mauve crystal gems and a tiny piece of ribbon. I used a Distressed Oxide background with a hand drawn border and black inked edges. The sentiment is one of two in the set.

I also made a tag with the uncoloured png image. I decided to keep the tag simple, so just cut two tags in contrasting colours and layered them.

Vera Lane Studio: Rain or Shine

Hello!

I'm sharing my DT make for Vera Lane Studio today.

I used the lovely Misty from the Rain or Shine digi set.

The image is coloured with Copic markers and fussy cut. It is popped on foam pads onto a background made from blended Dylusions acrylic paints. Paint was applied through stencils and some stamping was added with black ink. Black ink was blended around the background edges. I added some white doodling (with a Posca paint pen) around the stencilled shapes, a sentiment and also a hand drawn border.

I hope you'll come along and play on Vera Lane.
It's such a friendly, fun place to be!

Vera Lane Studio: Pray and Play

Hello!

Happy May Day! Unusually, we're having a spell of beautiful, hot, sunny weather here in the UK. And today is my birthday - and it's a big birthday, too :)

Today at Vera Lane Studio we have a new digi set release. It's the cute and whimsical Play and Pray. Here are two cards I made with it:

This first one used Play - she's coloured with Copic Markers and fussy cut. She's popped onto a Distress Oxide background which has some black stamping and dictionary text.
***

This second card uses Pray - she has a washi tape prayer mat and her background is made from Dylusions paint applied with a baby wipe. Some paint has been stencilled over and I added some white Posca pen doodling.

And here is my second ATC for the VLS Facebook swap:

Pray is just perfect as the ATC theme this month is Blessings. Pray has a Distress Oxide background, a snippet of pink cotton lace and a small piece of glitter mesh trim. She also has some torn dictionary text and a Tim Holts Small talk sticker for the sentiment. I finished the ATC with a hand drawn border.

Crafts Galore Encore: Emma in the Strawberry Patch

Hello!

I'm back today with my second DT card for Crafts Galore Encore.

Our challenge is always Anything Goes and this month we are sponsored by Fred She Said who are offering a $10 gift voucher!

Here is my card using Fred She Said's Emma in the Strawberry Patch:

I coloured the image with Copic markers and fussy cut around it leaving a narrow white border. I attached it to oval die cuts of Pink Strawberry Fields digital paper from Your Paper Stash, inking the edges in black. The background and banner was made with co-ordinating papers from the pack and the ovals were popped on foam pads for dimension.
To finish I made some paper flowers using a Heartfelt Creations die and added some golden Prills to the centres along with some die cut leaves.

Many thanks to Fred She Said for sponsoring this challenge.

I hope you'll pop to over to Crafts Galore Encore to see the DT's wonderful designs.
We'd love to see your creations.

Remember the challenge is always 'Anything Goes' and so you can create any type of project - it doesn't have to be a card.

Thanks for stopping by today!
xoxo
